Originally from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Dr. Aixa Santos graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 2015 having earned the degree of a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then furthered her education by earning her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic, in Spartanburg, SC. During that time Dr. Santos participated in Blair Chiropractic Technique seminars and conference. After graduation she decided to move to Seattle, where she got an associate position with Dr. Michael Lenarz.
Dr. Santos came to Health First to make a difference in the world, changing people lives, restoring and maintaining optimal health, and offering hope by removing the interference caused by subluxation/misalignments, this will allow the natural ability that your body has to heal itself.
Dr Wang developed her unique style from her family tradition, her study in China, and various styles practiced in North America, not limited to Japanese, Korean and classic Five Element style. She thanks her mother a TCM doctor who gave her the first exposure the magic of this medicine. She is also grateful for the opportunity to study in North America from masters of different schools which broadened her family tradition.
She started from a passion for sharing tradition and knowledge passed down from generations of her family, a business founded on teaching patients the benefits of East Asian Medicine. The healing journey is different for everyone, and contributing to a balanced life is the mission I aim to provide to those from all backgrounds and ages.
Although she obtained her Doctorate degree with a specialization of neuromuscular and sport medicine, she believes in the power of this holistic medicine and its systematic approach to health. Dr Wang supports patients to restore health from acute and chronic issues, she uses the most classical style to work with the most modern health issues . She wants her patients to greatly benefit from this holistic medicine which encompasses the practice of variety of traditional disciplines: nutrition, diet, life styles, herb, minerals, breathing, relaxation exercises (Qi Gong, Tai Chi), body work (Shiatsu and Tui Na), other needle-free treatment & heat therapies, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and more.
Dr Wang is a root-cause driven practitioner. She likes to be a teacher of the trade and show her patients how to heal from within and graduate to health. She approaches the root of the problem along with the branches, to ensure the restoration of health comes from the deepest levels, promoting lasting balance and wellbeing.
Growing up with Olympic athletes in her circle, Dr Wang’s approach to athletes focuses on long term restoration of health to enhance sports performance: In today’s world, most approach athletes through strict regimens of calorie counting, over-training, over-emphasis on body image, under-emphasis on recovery. The lack of support on long term health, and a lack of mental and spiritual support undermine performance goals and longevity. Although there is time and place for utilizing these approaches, Dr Wang is dedicated to creating a disciplined program to match the athlete’s training calendar and peak performance goals while simultaneously considering balance and longevity.
She also encourages patients to cultivate their internal and external environment. She believes self cultivation thrives in a supportive environment, our family, our social and natural environment is part of our holistic being and holistic healing.
